COMMISSIONER'S REPORT
Eric Verbonac, Commissioner Northern International Hockey League

On behalf of all the players who participate in our great game, I would like to thank all of volunteers who made our game so successful again this year.   I would also like to offer a very specail thank-you to my fellow officers of the board for all the hard work they have put in through the year.  We have had a remarkable year with amazing leagues play and and exciting championships to wrap up the year. I cannot thank the Associations who participate in the NIHL enough for your devotion to the game. We can see the excellent programs that each of the Associations in Northern Michigan, Michigans Upper Penisula, and Northern Ontario. The NIHL will endeavor to live up to it's purpose of the promotion of wholesome hockey relationships among its members from Michigan, Wisconsin, and Ontario, Canada, and to secure such other advantages as may be properly attained by a union of effort.

Highlights of the 2014/2015 season:

• Changing of the Board Officers
• Development of the new NIHL website
• A successful year of league play
• Exciting championship weekend

Plans for the up coming season:

• strengthen the board/officer relationship through meetings and communications
• grow the the NIHL in terms of teams/division
• Work with community partners to provide advertising opprotunities with the NIHL
